music graphics

a friend who is also in the music graphics industry Pistonhead recommended to me and was a revelation! I spent many years in the trenches of rock and roll and this book hits a bull's-eye.
Meet Charlie Sinclair, a blue-factory worker from Boston (which used to have factories there, believe it or not), playing guitar in a heavy metal band called Pistonhead. The band is quite successful – the book opens in a night, Thursday, the Club of Great Divide, where the band attracted an audience of 500 people (of heavy drinkers, and lots of violence). There is a crisis: Jack Rip Taylor, the singer of the bands have disappeared, perhaps to score some drugs from the parking to the distributors friendly powder Twins.

squamous manager make a fortune from a dead client, concert promoter smarmy, road crew crazy, deaf friends, violence and sex and drugs, Dust Twins (I knew those guys!), Charlie things going on in his mind while he is on stage – all here.
What is different is that it offers an image Pistonhead and attention to the real world of the spirit in work days Charlies numbness in the assembly line with Mass Rehab clients. I remember I jumped out of bed at 7 am, after playing a concert at 3 am, dragging my tired body to work and fall asleep in the break room with my ears still ringing. And each work is a Lisa … sweet and beautiful woman who seems to come from a different and better world. And we all know that guys like Charlie's brother-in-law, who wants to know everything about Charlies leeringly supposed sexual exploits. Theres a lot more – I definitely recommend this book to anyone who has had a dream worth working.
